8 world best teams will participate in the international Russian President's Judo Cup. This tournament with the prize fund of USD 250,000 will be held today in Rostov-on-Don in the south-eastern part of Russia.

Two Russian teams participating in the tournament consist of World and European champions, winners of the Olympic Games in Sydney. The Russians will compete against teams from Germany, Holland, Romania, Hungary and France and against judo wrestlers from Japan, winners of the last year's Russian President's Cup.

The first such tournament was organized in Russia in 2000 and today's tournament will already be the third one.
