Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Russian prose writer and dramatist, USSR State Prize winner Vasily Belov on the 70th anniversary of his birth, the presidential press service told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

"Begin a talented and original writer, you found your own subject in literature. Love for your country, people, and care for the preservation of national culture and richest traditions won the deserved recognition of readers and true world fame for you. Dear Vasily Ivanovich, I wish you and your family health, happiness and well-being," Vladimir Putin said.

The discovery of the submarine has unveiled a few "inconsistencies." For example, how can one explain the fact that the sub was found where it needed to be searched for from the start?
