A "music night" festivity is to take place from Saturday to Sunday in St Petersburg. 18 clubs, theaters and palaces, among them the Musical Comedy Theater, the Actor House, the Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace and many other well-known concert halls, will open their doors to music lovers.
The city administration culture committee press service reported that music of different genres - from classical to avant-garde pieces - would be performed by soloists of the Mariinsky Theater and Prague National Opera, the St Petersburg Chamber Choir, St Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra and Jazz Bank band.
All concerts will be given for free. For the city dwellers to hear as many musicians' performances as possible, a trolleybus will run along St Pete's main street - Nevsky Prospekt - all night long. The trip is supposed to be free, the tickets - festival programs - being handed in in the city's box offices free of charge.
The concert program "Music night" will last from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.
