Uzbek athlete wins world Thai boxing title

Bangkok, Thailand, hosted the world Thai boxing championship the other day, with Erkin Kutibayev from the Uzbek national team becoming world champion for the fourth time.

Officials working at Uzbekistan's State Sports Committee say that three other national athletes won medals in Bangkok. Sherzod Sharipov came second, with Dzhasur Nurmukhamedov and Dzhakhongir Gulamov receiving bronze medals.

The current world championship in Bangkok involved athletes from over 50 countries of the world.
