Jiri Novotny returns to Blue Jackets

Czech center Jiri Novotny finally recovered from injury and joined the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Novotny suffered a concussion on Nov. 23 in the 4-0 win against the Minnesota Wild. He collided with the Wild's Aaron Voros as Voros left the penalty box.

The 24-year-old Novotny has four goals and six assists in 22 games this season.

He has 12 goals and 20 assists in 104 career NHL games with the Buffalo Sabres, Washington Capitals and Blue Jackets. He signed as free agent with Columbus last summer.
