An academic scandal at Florida State University launched the placement of its sports teams on probation.
About 60 students will be suspended from games and deprived of an amount of scholarship to the extent of their involvement into the fraud.
An investigation started last March when a student reported to officials that he was to take an online test for another athlete and then provide answers for the test.
The investigation is still in full swing, and all the results will be sent to NCAA, a voluntary association of about 1,200 institutions, conferences, organizations and individuals that organizes the athletic programs of many colleges and universities and controls their activities.
