Stuttgart defender Boka banned until end of season

Stuttgart defender Arthur Boka has been suspended until the end of the season for hitting an opponent in the groin.

The Ivory Coast international got into an altercation with Hannover players after being sent off in a Bundesliga game on Saturday and was caught on camera hitting Arnold Bruggink.

The referee missed the incident but the German soccer federation banned Boka after seeing the tape.

Boka was banned for five games and there are only five rounds left in the Bundesliga season.

Stuttgart is third in the standings, four points behind leader Schalke.
