Fawcett’s Friends and Family Gather to Say Goodbye

Farrah Fawcett’s friends and family, including longtime partner Ryan O'Neal and their son Redmond, who was temporarily freed from jail for the service, gathered Tuesday to say goodbye.
Actress Farrah Fawcett, known for her blond mane and gleaming smile, died Thursday at age 62.
Fawcett, the blond-maned actress whose best-selling poster and "Charlie's Angels" stardom made her one of the most famous faces in the world, died Thursday. She was 62, and had suffered from anal cancer off and on for three years, CNN reports.

Fawcett died at 9:28 a.m. Thursday at St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica with her longtime companion, Ryan O’Neal, and her friend, Alana Stewart, at her side. Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006. Her battle with the disease was made into the documentary “Farrah’s Story,’’ which was broadcast on NBC. The network says it will air the documentary again Friday night, Los Angeles Independent reports.

Later reacting Farrah’s death stewart said: "She's the most beautiful angel in heaven. She always seemed so indestructible," People Magazine reports.
