Slovakian ruling party ousted

One of the four parties in Slovakia's ruling coalition has been ousted, but the government will remain in place, the prime minister said Thursday.

Seven of the 11 lawmakers representing the ousted ANO party have said they will continue to support Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda's government, the AP reports.

ANO is headed by Pavol Rusko, who was recently forced to resign his economics ministry post because of accusations of shady financial dealings.

Dzurinda has led a fragile minority government for several years and has relied on the support from independent lawmakers to push through reforms.
