Defence Minister Says Russian Troops Will Not Be Sent To Afghanistan

Russian Defence Minister Sergey Ivanov has denied information of Pakistani media alleging that Russia is planning to send its military to Afghanistan. "This will not take place, I think it is just what the Pakistanis would wish", said Ivanov in a Thursday interview. Ivanov also denied the allegation that Russian aviation performed raids on the Kodori gorge in Abkhazia.
