Federation Council speaker thinks Russian-Iraqi relations are in line with international law

The relations between Russia and Iraq are developing within the frameworkof international law. Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov voiced thisopinion at a news conference in St. Petersburg. According to him, anysovereign state is entitled to cooperate with any other state within theframework of international law in mutual interests, including economicinterests, and Russia has the right to trade and make partnershipagreements and contracts. "If someone thinks that there is some bad willhere, and international law or regulations of the International AtomicEnergy Agency are somehow violated, our country is ready to review thesefacts, if there are any," Mironov declared.
