The Russian and Chinese Foreign Ministries come out for the coordination of standpoints on key problems of the world development in the epoch of globalisation, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Losyukov and director of the political planning department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Cui Tiankai said on Wednesday.
First of all, it concerns the discussion and coordination of standpoints between analytical departments of the Russian and Chinese Foreign Ministries. The sides gave a positive appraisal of the consolidation of international cooperation both in Euro-Atlantic and Asia-Pacific regions, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Losyukov and Cui Tiankai pointed to Russian and Chinese common standpoints on the evolution of contemporary international relations. The sides came out for the necessity to unite efforts of the world community on rebuffing new threats and challenges on the basis of the international law and central coordinating role of the UN.
The meeting was held in Moscow as part of Russian-Chinese consultations on foreign-policy planning.
