This was disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent by official spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Aleksander Yakovenko in connection with Israeli Foreign Ministry Director-General Avi Gil's visit to Moscow.
"Our practical relations are becoming more multilateral and embrace many spheres," the high-ranking diplomat said. Moscow is pleased to note, that " the themes that were recently discussed by both sides became wider, and the discussions became more interesting and candid," Yakovenko stressed. In Yakovenko's opinion, the two countries at the present moment "are facing a task to improve the legal basis of our relations, including consular and humanitarian spheres." "The foreign ministries of both countries can contribute to the improvement of conditions for the development of relations in the spheres of the trade, economy and investments," the official spokesman for the Russian foreign ministry stated. "The Russian part as well as the Israelis, demonstrate their readiness for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation," the diplomat stressed.
