UN inspectors started a second week of work in Iraq with an inspection of a nuclear facility, which is a part of Iraqi Atomic Energy Organization infrastructure. "Al-Tuveisi" nuclear facility is located in a small town of Salman Bakh 20 km south of Baghdad.
The day before, the UNMOVIC and IAEA representatives conducted a combined inspection of one of the eight Saddam's palaces in Baghdad. Six groups of experts inspected "Al-Sudjud" ("Praying Bows") palace. According to UNMOVIC and IAEA spokesperson in Iraq, inspectors "checked every room and every corner" of the palace. Iraqi newspaper "As-Saura" reported on Wednesday that the IAEA experts "took samples of soil and air from several rooms in the palace."
