Germany and Switzerland intend to pay a reimbursement to the relatives of people killed in the air crash above Lake Bodensee, the German Stuttgarter Nachrichten newspaper reported on Thursday.
According to the newspaper, Germany, Switzerland and the insurance company that represents the Swiss air traffic management company Sky Guide intend to set up a €50-million joint fund to pay the reimbursement.
The newspaper did not specify the source of the information.
On July 1, 2002, a Tu-154 airplane of the Bashkir airlines collided with a cargo Boeing. The crash killed 71 people, 69 of whom were Russian citizens, mainly children.
