Vladimir Putin, Jacques Chirac to meet in Sochi July 19-20

On Friday, Sergei Prikhodko, deputy chief of Kremlin staff, reported to journalists that Russian President Vladimir Putin would hold a meeting with French President Jacques Chirac in Sochi on July 19-20.

According to him, next Wednesday, July 10, the Russian President will receive Bavarian Prime-Minister Edmond Schtoiber, who will arrive in Moscow on Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov's invitation.

The Kremlin administration also does not exclude that the Russian head of state and Jordani King Abdallah II will meet before the end of the month.

In addition, according to the Kremlin spokesman, "there is an agreement" regarding a meeting between the Russian President and his Belarussian counterpart Aleksander Lukashenko.
