The third issue of the German journal Germany and Russia: Economic Partners has caused some bewilderment in the Kaliningrad regional administration. The map of Russia printed in the journal does not include her most westerly region.
Alexander Koretsky, the chairman of the region's committee for information, press and public relations, told Rosbalt's correspondent that representatives of the company Klotz&Partner.KG, who publish the journal, contacted the regional administration with a request to prepare material about the region. 'These articles, just like material on a host of other regions of Russia, are published in the journal,' explained Koretsky, 'but for some reason our region isn't on the map. Is it a mistake, a misunderstanding, the publisher's poor knowledge of political geography, or a hint at the possible seizure of the Russian enclave in connection with EU expansion?'
