Putin Against Double Standards In The Fight Against International Terrorism

Vladimir Putin is strictly against applying double standards in the fight against anti-terrorism, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports. The president announced during a press conference following Russian-Indian talks that "we are categorically against double standards" when combating international terrorism. "It means there are no good terrorists or bad terrorists," he said. This, continued the president, implies that people and organizations who wield weapons in order to solve political problems should be condemned, while the international community should fight them. The international community's efforts should be designed to eliminate any opportunity for the terrorists to achieve their goals, Putin observed. He also stressed that a policy of double standards could split the international coalition and so it should be avoided at all costs.
