Russian-US Strategic Stability Consultations To Be Held In Moscow

Another round of the Russian-US consultations on strategic stability will be held in Moscow on Thursday. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Mamedov and US Undersecretary of State John Bolton will participate in it. They are expected to focus on US plans to deploy the NMD system and on strategic stability issues in the light of the coming visit to Moscow of US Secretary of State Colin Powell scheduled for December 8-9, informed sources in Moscow told RIA Novosti. US Undersecretary of State John Bolton is likely to raise the question of non-proliferation of missile and nuclear technologies during the coming consultations.

In response to the unlawful December 1 arrest and detention of Chinese tech giant Huawei's chief financial officer Sabrina Meng Wanzhou by Canadian authorities in Vancouver at the behest of the Trump regime, facing possible unacceptable extradition to the US, Beijing warned its high-tech personnel last month against traveling to America unless it's essential.
