Finnish Ex-Premier: Finland must adopt clear strategy on Russia

Esko Aho, ex-prime minister of Finland, has said Finland must have a clear strategy in its policy on Russia. 'We must have a clear idea and policy on what we want to do in Russia and how we can go on working in Russia,' he announced today in an interview with Ilkka newspaper. 'Our expertise could be used in various fields in Russia and if we do not make use of this, somebody else will.'

Mr Aho also called on Finland to make sure that Russia remains at the centre of EU attention.
