The European Union will grant Georgia EUR30m. This decision was announced after a meeting between Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana, Rustavi 2 television channel reported. Georgia is to use the funds to finance its infrastructure and economic projects, construction of penal system facilities and grain purchases.
Earlier Georgian president reported that Georgia would receive a EU grant worth $EUR15m. Today Saakashvili is to meet NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer.
Years of diplomatic conflict resolution efforts in Syria produced no breakthroughs. Washington and its imperial partners want endless war and regime change, not peace.
