Vladimir Putin Believes US Leaders Do Everything Possible Not To Let Afghan Civilians Suffer From Anti-terrorist Operations

Vladimir Putin is sure the US President and other leaders "will do everything possible not to let Afghan civilians suffer" from the anti-terrorist operation. "I have no doubt of this", the Russian President said opening the traditional Monday meeting with the governmental members in the Kremlin. According to the president, the start of the military operation in Afghanistan was not unexpected and the terrorists themselves reckoned upon such development of the events. The terrorists as usually expected to manoeuvre between different centres of power but they were mistaken this time, the Russian president noted. According to him, "their impudence let them down". After the September 11 terrorist attacks on the USA all the countries facing terrorism united, Putin said.
