Russia and France have close positions on Iran's nuclear program

French President Nicolas Sarkozy is sure that the positions of Russia and France on Iran's nuclear program moved much closer after talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Our positions moved much closer together" on Iran and other sensitive subjects, Sarkozy told reporters. He mentioned "many convergences" on Iran but would not elaborate.
