Iraqi Ambassador Discontinues His Briefings

Iraqi Ambassador to Moscow Abbas Halaf Kunfud will so far not give interviews, the ambassador's aide told RIA Novosti.

"And of course, the ambassador's regular press conference will not take place today." He added that the embassy would announce it when the ambassador were ready to communicate with the press.

RIA Novosti's interlocutor stressed that Abbas Halaf Kunfud was still in Moscow and continued his work.

Since the first day of the war in Iraq, the ambassador was in Moscow and gave daily briefings. The last of them took place Wednesday.
