OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Goes to Moscow, June 17, to Discuss Human Rights in Latvia, Lithuania

Rolf Ekeus, the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, will officially visit Moscow on June 17 and 18. Mr. Ekeus will meet with Igor Ivanov, Russia's Foreign Minister, and preside at talks at parliamentary committees.

Discussed will be situations around human rights in Lithuania and Latvia and national minorities in other CIS states and interethnic relations within the area of the OSCE's responsibility. An exchange of opinions as concerns the further cooperation between Russia and the OSCE is also planned.
