Yasser Arafat Meets With Russian Envoy

National Palestinian Authority leader Yasser Arafat has held a Ramallah meeting with the Russian foreign ministry's envoy to the Middle East Andrei Vdovin. Messrs Arafat and Vdovin discussed latest Mideastern developments and the efforts the global community is taking to resume the peace process. According to the Palestinian WAFA news agency, speaking to newsmen after the meeting, Andrei Vdovin described recent deterioration of the regional developments as hazardous. The Russian diplomat deemed it necessary that the international community and all the involved parties do the utmost to prevent things from getting any worse and try to implement the Tenet-Mitchell plan again.
