Kremlin Staff Chief meets with US president

President George Bush of the United States met with Kremlin Staff Chief Dmitry Medvedev in the White House, Washington, Tuesday.

Earlier on the same day, Medvedev met with the US Government Chief of Staff, Andrew Card, and National security Adviser Condoleezza Rice.

"We analyzed the whole scope of Russia-US relations at those meetings," Medvedev told the Russian media. "In my opinion, the talks and the analysis were productive, and let's hope, positive." He explained that he visited Washington as a member "of the so-called strategic group, which has functioned for the past year and includes representatives of the Russian and US administrations." Apart from the White House, Medvedev visited the US Department of State, where he met with Secretary of State Colin Powell.
