Kirghiz air base becomes costly for USA

The agreement on deployment of the American air base in Kyrgyzstan is reconsidered now, as a result of which the country will receive the sum for rent hundred times exceeding the present sum. The President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiev said it at the end of the previous week, at meeting with the heads of TV and radio companies of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the President, “the American party agrees to pay.”

“We’ll measure each meter and we shall say them that for each place they [USA] will pay certain price. I do not see any harm from base, on the contrary it will bring the incomes in the national economy,” - said Bakiev.

As the President said, “this agreement regards only to Kyrgyzstan and USA.” “Neither Russia nor China did not demand withdrawal of the base. SCO just wished that the USA have informed terms of withdrawal,” – said he.

“The withdrawal of the American base will depend on the situation in Afghanistan. Now, it is very difficult to say that situation in this country is stable,” - AKIpress qouted Bakiev as saying.
