South Korea has purchased from Russia 23 light Il-103 aircraft developed at the Ilyushin air complex, its leading specialist Alexander Shakhnovich told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.
"The aircraft are being manufactured at the Lukhovitsy plant in the Moscow region, and will begin to be delivered beginning in the second quarter of this year," he added.
According to him, this five-seater plane will also this year be sold to Belarus /4 machines/ and to Laos /3 machines/.
Among the complex's achievements Shakhnovich mentioned development and sales abroad of a new inter-regional 62-seater passenger airliner Il-114. "Several of such liners have been sold to Uzbekistan," he said. "Also, two Il-114s have been purchased by St. Petersburg air lines: these new turbo-prop planes will fly to Samara, Nizhny Novgorod (both cities on the Volga), and Murmansk, northern Russia, from St. Petersburg's Pulkovo airport.
The new aircraft /Il-103 and Il-114) meet all modern international noise and other technical requirements, the specialist said.

It has long been understood that the West has been trying to subject Russian borders to total control. We have not seen such activity even during the Cold War
