100,000 Afghan Refugees Gather On Tajik Border

A total of 100,000 Afghan refugees have gathered in the Afghan settlements on the Tajik-Afghan border with no roof above their heads, the Tajik embassy in Russia said. According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, 35 cars and three railway platforms with tents and heating, sheets and portable electric generators have been sent to Tajikistan from Russia to be later lifted to northern Afghanistan. In all, Russia plans to send 58 cars and 16 railway platforms with humanitarian supplies for the Afghan refugees.
