A Mexican man has died from injuries suffered in last month's Southern California wildfires.
The San Diego medical examiner's office confirmed that 20-year-old Alejandro Martinez Flores died Sunday. He is the 10th person killed directly by the wildfires.
Seven other deaths involving evacuees have been indirectly linked to the blazes.
Martinez had tried to cross the border illegally through the fire zone near Tecate, east of San Diego. Seven other illegal border crossers remain hospitalized.
