Polish Premier To Visit Russia On December 19-20

Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller is due to visit Moscow on December 19-20 forestalling a visit to Poland by Russian President Vladimir Putin scheduled for next January, according to officials in the Polish embassy to Moscow. The Polish Prime Minister is expected to hold negotiations with his Russian colleague Mikhail Kasyanov. A session of the Russian-Polish intergovernmental commission took place in Moscow on Thursday, with Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Marek Pol, and Russian Transport Minister Sergey Frank participating. The main issue of the Moscow talks was the imbalance that had emerged in the two countries' mutual trade.
