The parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina has approved the new federal government of the country. As a Rosbalt correspondent was informed by the press office of the temporary administration in Sarajevo, the country's Prime Minister is Adnan Terzic, a Muslim, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister is Mladen Ivanic, a Serb, and the Finance Minister is Croatian Ljerka Maric. According to the Dayton agreement of 1995, the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina is formed by electing representatives of the country's most common nationalities, which are Muslims, Serbs and Croats.
As Mr Ivanic announced at a press conference in Sarajevo, the new government intends to seek closer ties with Russia. 'At one time the Bosnian economy depended a great deal on Moscow and we don't intend to cut off old ties,' he said. The new government will be sworn in on January 16.
