Commander of the Far Eastern military district Colonel-General Yury Yakubov on Monday met in the district's headquarters a military delegation from the Republic of Korea which arrived on Sunday in Khabarovsk for an official visit. The delegation includes four generals and senior officers of the department for combat training of the land forces of the South Korean Ministry of National Defence. During the meeting with Yury Yakubov, the head of the South Korean delegation, Kim Jong-tae, said that the aim of the visit was to find ways towards mutual understanding and development of cooperation. The head of the district's press service, Sergei Vasilyev, said that on Tuesday the South Korean delegation would attend the regimental tactical exercises with field firing which will take place in the Sergeyevsky training centre of the district.
