Former Leader Of Albanian Militants In Kosovo To Arrive In Turkey On Monday

Former leader of the Albanian militants in the Yugoslavian province of Kosovo Hashim Thaqi will arrive in Turkey on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey reported on Saturday. The chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo and former head of the so-called Albanian Kosovo Liberation Army will hold talks in Ankara with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Ismail Cem. The sides intend to discuss the situation in Kosovo, in particular, the parliamentary elections slated to be held on October 17. The sides are also expected to consider the situation of the Turkish minority in Kosovo which, by Ankara's information, now includes 60,000 people.
