Vladimir Putin Positive US, Russia Will Meet Each Other's Interests, Including In ABM

President Vladimir Putin has voiced confidence, the USA and Russia will find a way to meet each other's security interests, including the ABM problem. The Russian president said this in an interview with the National Public Radio. The US has not yet ultimately resolved to withdraw from the 1972 ABM Treaty, emphasized the Russian leader. Although Russia and the USA take different approaches to the problem, President Putin was confident "they will find a scenario that will meet both countries' interests." The Russian president's appearance on the US radio stirred up keen public interest in the country. Lots of telephone calls were made and over 2,000 questions asked by E-mail. The questions ranged from the arms reduction to Putin's attitude to Beetles.
