Americans attack gun shows in fit of shopping passion

News agencies report about a number of gun shows that were held in different states in the U.S. The shows can boast of an incredible number of visitors and very good sales.

CBS Local in Las Vegas reports about the opening of an exhibition of weapons, which will receive at least 60 thousand visitors. The exhibition is organized by the National Association of Shooting Sports. Common visitors that are not professionals in the industry, will not be allowed to attend the show.

KBOI2 broadcaster reported about a similar exhibition that took place in Idaho over the weekend. "Some people bought so many guns, rifles and ammunition, that they literally were falling out of their hands," said the organizer of the event,  Paul Schneider.

Wtvr.com reported about an arms exhibition in Virginia. According to the channel, thousands of people lined up for the goods. Organizers said that it was the first time that they saw such a high demand on guns during over 20 years of experience.

South Dakota's local TV channel KotaTV reported a news story about arms dealer Michael Mooney, who sold "85 units of military weapons ranging from 650 to 3,000 dollars in three days." According to the TV channel, it was an unprecedented case.

New York has recently become the first state in the U.S., where the government toughened the law on arms. Many American citizens insisted on the change after the December drama at Sandy Hook School in Connecticut.

President of the National Rifle Association Wayne LaPierre stands against the new rules claiming that "the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun."
