Uzbek President visits Russia 

Islam Karimov, the President of Uzbekistan, has arrived in Russia for a two-day visit. On Monday, the 15th of April 2013, he is scheduled to hold talks with President Vladimir Putin. The discussions will focus on bilateral partnership.

The Russian Federation is a major trade partner for Uzbekistan. In 2012, mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Russia amounted to more than $7 billion.
