President of Uzbekistan awarded a Russian order

The trusteeship council of the Andrei the First Called Foundation has awarded the Russian order of Andrei the First Called to President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.

The President was decorated with this order for his great services in restoring, preserving and enriching the spiritual and cultural values and also for his tremendous contribution to the development of the dialogue between countries of the world.

The order, which has the status of a state award of Russia, was presented to Islam Karimov on May 15 by chairman of the trusteeship council of the Andrei the First Called Foundation Vladimir Yakunin.
