Moscow and Delhi are just about to complete negotiations for delivery of Russian strategic bombers Tu-22 to India on leasing terms, Russian Vice Premier Ilya Klebanov announced in the Indian capital on Tuesday. In the next few months, the sides may conclude a contract for the lease of four aircraft of this type, he added. The transaction is being negotiated under a recently signed program of military-and-technical cooperation between the two countries up to the year 2010, which focuses on joint projects related to aviation, naval military equipment and other spheres of military production.
