Russia And Lebanon Sign Programme On Cultural Cooperation

Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Boris Bolotin and Lebanese Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh signed a programme on cultural cooperation between Russia and Lebanon for 2001-2003 in Beirut on Friday. The programme envisages an exchange in the spheres of science and intellectual activity, exhibitions and seminars, tours of Russian theatre troupes, and the admission of Lebanese students into Russian universities. According to Salameh, Lebanon is particularly interested in the establishment of a ballet school and the restoration of historic monuments with its Russian partners.
