Saddam was attacked by court employees after insulting Shiite saints

Two court employees attacked &to=http://english.pravda.ru/main/18/90/363/16447_Kuwait.html' target=_blank>Saddam Hussein and punched him several times after he cursed two Shiite Islam saints, state-run Iraqi television reported Wednesday.

Iraqiya television, quoting "sources close to investigative judges," did not say when the incident occurred. However, Saddam's lawyers said in July that their client was attacked during an interrogation session. The chief investigative judge of the special court dealing with Saddam denied the claims at the time.
