The visit by the Russian President Vladimir Putin to the US is expected in mid-November, US Secretary of Commerce Donald Evans has said at today's press-conference. According to him, the Russian head of state will hold meetings in the US Congress and meet American businessmen during his visit. Evans underscored that he was satisfied with the results of the visit to Russia by the first American business mission under President George W. Bush. The minister noted that a number of promising deals had been struck between Russian and American companies in the course of this visit. The US Secretary of Commerce said the American side was interested in boosting trade and investment cooperation with Russia. Besides, Evans accentuated the role of small and medium-sized businesses in bilateral cooperation.
