USA condemns attack on Dutch official in Moscow

The United States condemned the attack on the Dutch diplomat in Moscow and urged the Russian authorities to punish those responsible. As stated by the U.S. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki, the U.S. authorities called on Russia to "conduct thorough investigation into the disgraceful incident and bring to justice those responsible."

According to her, the Americans are also concerned about the presence of LGBT symbols on the scene of the attack. According to her, Russia should provide an atmosphere of tolerance and guarantee security for its citizens and foreign visitors.

The diplomat from the Netherlands was beaten in his apartment in Moscow on October 16. The assailants left "a heart shape and LGBT" abbreviation after their visit.
