The decision of the US President against the background of the raging epidemic of Ebola fever not to restrict flights to African countries drew sharp criticism from Donald Trump. The American billionaire questioned the mental health of Barack Obama.
"I am starting to think that there is something seriously wrong with President Obama's mental health. Why won't he stop the flights. Psycho!" Trump tweeted.
Later, American TV presenter Steve Malzberg asked the billionaire to comment on the tweet. Trump reiterated that there was definitely something wrong with Obama. "There is something wrong, and nobody knows what it is, but there is something wrong. There are so many bad decision. Can anybody be that incompetent? There is something wrong," he said.
On October 16, Barack Obama held a meeting devoted to the struggle against the epidemic of Ebola. During the meeting, Obama said that banning trips to countries of West Africa would not be the best way to fight the disease. According to the president, the measures taken at airports of the United States were enough to detect infected individuals.
Previously, Obama stated that Ebola was a threat to the entire international community, but an average American had almost no chance of catching the virus. He also admitted that he hugged and kissed a couple of nurses who were taking care of Ebola patients and felt perfectly safe.
The outbreak of the fever was detected in Guinea in February 2014. Later, the virus spread to Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Senegal. Several cases of the infection have also been recorded in the United States and Europe. According to the World Health Organization, the virus has claimed the lives of more than 4,400 people.
