Georgia to sell mineral water at fuel prices

The Georgian government has drawn up a plan of how to make the most effective use of the republic's water resources. As a Rosbalt correspondent reports, this was announced yesterday by Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze in his traditional weekly radio interview. He said that according to international experts Georgia has very large reserves of high-quality mineral water.

Representatives of several leading mineral water companies are currently in Georgia and within two years Georgia will be exporting millions of half-litre bottles of mineral water every year. According to Mr Shevardnadze, one litre of Georgian mineral water will cost the same as a litre of fuel in other countries.
