The US is convinced that in the near future it will receive evidence about Iran's nuclear program, which will force Russia to stop helping Iran build the nuclear reactor at the Bushera nuclear power station in Iran, said a highly placed member of the US administration on condition of anonymity while located in Moscow.
The US is hopeful that the confirmation of the military nature of the Iranian nuclear program will be taken up in the International Atomic Energy Agency and the UN Security Council. On September 17 Assistant US Secretary of State John Bolton met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Kislyak. Their talks were devoted to the construction of the nuclear reactor at Bushera. It is expected that the Russian-Iranian contract, valued at USD 800 million, will be the center of discussion during talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President George Bush at Camp David later next week.
