Grandiose Show Of Fireworks To Mark The Day Of Opening Apec Summit In Shanghai

Shining unidentified flying objects and fire-spitting dragons will decorate the Shanghai skies today. As a RIA Novosti special correspondent reports, the fireworks will mark the opening of the APEC summit. According to the organisers of this show, the fireworks promise to be the most grandiose in the past decades not only in China but also in the whole world. In the course of twenty minutes, fire rockets will be launched from the roofs of twenty-three buildings and ten ships which will stand in the central part of the city on the river Hyangpu. The fireworks will be a combination of traditionally Chinese and Western modern art of pyrotechnics, said Phil Grucci, vice president of the American company which organises this majestic show.
