French Interior Minister Daniel Vaillant has called yesterday's negotiations with Russian Security Council Vladimir Rushailo "very fruitful and useful". The French Minister of the Interior voiced such an opinion on Tuesday while examining the Rosoboroneksport pavilion at the MILIPOL PARIS-2001 exhibition which has gathered companies from the countries producing arms and equipment for police and secret services. Vaillant noted that good contacts had long been established between Russian and French law-enforcers and secret services. However, the Minister is sure that after the negotiations with Vladimir Rushailo this cooperation will be further boosted in the interests of security of Russia and France and European security as a whole, especially in the context of the current effotrs against international terrorism. The French Minister of the Interior stressed that he was very glad that Russia was taking part in that international forum. At the forum Russia is represented by some 35 enterprises and companies, mainly joint stock and private companies which specialise in producing special equipment for police and secret services.
