Bulgarian President: Russia and Bulgaria Must Develop Joint Economic Projects

Bulgaria and Russia must develop joint economic projects. As a Rosbalt correspondent reports, this was announced today by Bulgarian President Georgy Pyrvanov at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Mr Pyrvanov said that Bulgaria 'remembers the help that it received from Moscow between 1946 and 1991 with gratitude.' He added that recently contacts between the two countries had dramatically decreased and that now it is 'extremely important' to develop some joint projects.

Mr Pyrvanov is currently in Russia on an official three-day visit. The Bulgarian leader will make a speech to the Russian State Duma, meet Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Alexei II as well as hold several meetings with students of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
